i am currently engaged as a intern.
I had the opportunity to work as a law intern for YoungInnovations Commercial Company for three months, where I was actively involved in policy-making procedures. During this internship, I had the chance to travel to different parts of Nepal, engaging with local communities and understanding the regional challenges related to policy implementation. I also worked on a project for USAID, where I contributed to legal research, drafting policy documents, and supporting the development of strategies aimed at enhancing the impact of aid programs. This experience broadened my understanding of how law intersects with development work and strengthened my passion for creating inclusive, effective policies for communities in need.
I completed a one-month internship at the High Court of Patan, where I had the opportunity to observe and assist in various legal proceedings. During this time, I supported legal professionals in case research, drafting documents, and organizing case files. The internship provided me with a firsthand understanding of the judicial process and the functioning of the court system in Nepal. It also gave me invaluable insights into the practical application of law and strengthened my interest in pursuing a career in the legal field, especially in areas of human rights and justice.
I worked as an intern for 12 months for master’s coordinator at Kathmandu School of Law, where I had the valuable opportunity to facilitate various national and international programs, seminars, and residential workshops. This role allowed me to engage with legal scholars, practitioners, and students from diverse backgrounds, sharpening my organizational, communication, and coordination skills. It also deepened my understanding of academic legal discourse and exposed me to a wide range of policy issues, further fueling my passion for law, advocacy, and global collaboration.
I was selected to participate in an ethnographic research project in Upper Gorkha, one of the rural villages in Nepal. Over the course of 15 days, we traveled on foot through challenging terrains to conduct fieldwork, gathering insights into the community's culture, lifestyle, and socio-economic conditions. After completing the research, the team and I compiled our findings into a comprehensive book. I had the honor of contributing one of my articles, titled "_____", which focused on Mount climber. This experience was incredibly enriching, as it not only enhanced my research and writing skills but also deepened my understanding of rural Nepal and the issues faced by marginalized communities.
I had the privilege of attending and conducting a provisional visit to the Far-Western region of Nepal, where I had the opportunity to engage directly with the marginalized Tharu community. As part of a program organized by the Kathmandu School of Law, I conducted classes and awareness sessions focused on educating the community about their legal rights and the protections available to them under the law. The experience was both eye-opening and empowering, as I witnessed first hand the impact of informing individuals about their rights. By bridging the gap between law and underserved communities, I was able to contribute to their sense of agency and self-empowerment, fostering a more informed and proactive community that can advocate for its own rights. This initiative reinforced my passion for social justice and the importance of grassroots advocacy in creating lasting legal change.
In 2021, I had the honor of serving as the President of JCI Lubhu Junior, a role that allowed me to actively engage with my community and lead meaningful service initiatives. During my term, I organized and participated in various youth-led programs focused on education, health awareness, and social responsibility. Through this experience, I developed leadership, teamwork, and public speaking skills while staying grounded in the values of empathy, volunteerism, and local impact. It was a proud chapter in my journey of learning to lead with purpose and serve with heart.
I had the honor of serving as the Secretary of JCI Lubhu in 2020. In this role, I was responsible for coordinating and managing over 30 district-level programs. These initiatives included a variety of impactful activities, most notably health-related camps. I successfully organized blood donation drives in collaboration with the Red Cross Society and conducted weekly health camps in remote areas, ensuring access to basic healthcare services for underserved communities. My tenure as Secretary allowed me to develop strong organizational skills while making a meaningful contribution to public health and community service.
